2006 Novena Schedule

In March, as always, we will honor the patron saint of our parish by conducting the solemn nine-day Novena in Honor of St. Joseph. The novena begins on Saturday, March 11, at 12:10 p.m. at St. Joseph’s. Two days of the novena will be celebrated at our sister parishes, Sweetest Heart of Mary and St. Josephat. On Sunday, March 19, the Feast of St. Joseph, we will close the novena with a solemn Mass at noon.

Music for the closing Mass will include the Messa di San Giuseppe by Johan Ernst Eberlin (1702-1762), Mozart’s predecessor in Salzburg. The Mass is set for soprano, organ and strings; our long-time soprano soloist, Linda Munch, will sing. At communion, we will hear De Commnione by the Bohemian composer Josef Antonín Plánicky´ (1691-1732) an aria on the text Domine, non sum dignus.

The schedule of Masses and Novena prayers is below; we hope to have you with us in person, or at the very least in spirit.
